I really want to have a chunk of land (ideally 7 acres+/-) in the desert to act as a seasonal post apocalyptic diy workspace/creative sandbox using mostly reclaimed materials. I have mostly been thinking of areas about two hours from LA. I have considered California City, but I anywhere that fits the needs would do. I don't have much in terms of funds right now, but I figure I could find an affordable chunk and/or pay it off over time. I need ideas or suggestions of how to make it happen. Im looking for what most people think of as a wasteland. Would realtors be able to hook me up with cheap desert land? would land owners be willing to sell big plots unused acreage for cheap? I have been dreaming up this project for years and need to figure out a way to bring it to life. thanks for any suggestions. anything helps.
