I don't even know what genre they would fall into (if you could consider them in the same genre) but they all have some common elements which I haven't seen in many movies. These elements being 1) obviously, comic book elements. 2) sarcastic undertones 3) a sort of hyper-realistic way many of the characters interact and react with their surroundings (barring plot points). They tend to be pretty awkward and no one is super attractive like in most block buster movies.
