I love Lady Bird for a lot of reasons, but one specific one occurred to me recently: I now associate "Crash Into Me" with it, even though I've known that song basically my whole life.
I usually link songs closely to movies if that was the first time I heard it, like "The Gun" by Lou Reed (RocknRolla), or "Too Young" by Phoenix (Lost In Translation). But there are exceptions, like "Bohemian Rhapsody" in Wayne's World and "Stuck In The Middle With You" in Reservoir Dogs where a song I already knew was utilized so well that I now think of those scenes every time I hear it.
And since I saw Lady Bird last year, "Crash Into Me" has joined that list. It now always reminds me of the two scenes in plays in, and how it drove home so strongly how important Lady Bird and Julie's friendship was.
