Watching Walt Before Disney made me appreciate Tom Hanks more than I already did

Walt's life before the success has always interested me, so I flipped on this movie to maybe see some cool reenactments of scenes I've read about in biographies before.

My god, this acting, writing, and directing make Tom Hanks and the whole crew involved with Saving Mr Banks look like gods.

The shame is that Walt's life is really an interesting road of attempts and failures and after much persistence: success. The potential was there and it's a bummer they didn't capitalize on it.

It's not even about budget either. The sets and overall art direction for the 15 minutes of Walt Before Mickey that I watched were really solid and believable. The problem lies in the acting and directing.

Basically my whole thesis is that once you see really bad acting, it's way easier to appreciate good acting and notice how often we take it for granted.
