Music is an important part of a movie. Many great movies have memorable and sometimes even iconic music. For example Star Wars or the Lord of the Rings. I have always been a fan of music movies, and I prefer it over any other kind of music. There re just so many great soundtracks out there.
There are, however, some bad movies that also have great music. Even if the rest of the movie may not hold up that well. For me, that movie is Armageddon. Not a great movie, but it has very good music at least! As another example, I think some of the Terminator movies have good music, even if the movies are more hit and miss.
What other movies do you think have great music, despite not being that good on their own?
