Does a movie only screening in 3D stop you from going to see it?

After watching 3 Starwars movies and a few others in 3D i decided never again will i pay to watch a movie with blurry 3d sunglasses. < pretty much what they are. The movie is some what fuzzy, 3d is meh for most of the movie and the picture is dark. also not to forget you pay $13 to see the movie and you have to watch 20 mins of ads and pay $15 for a small popcorn and pop? (Canadian Prices) What a kick in the nuts. This may only be my local theater i don't know, But any way after the horrible SW8 movie i decided i would not go and see Solo, the guy who plays solo doesn't look a thing like Harrison ford. I'm not a Donald Glover fan and woody harrilson in a SW movie is just weird. But Emilia Clarke plays in it, i love her and thought maybe i'll give it a chance until i noticed no screenings are in 2D. So i'll skip until blu-ray. Why do studios choose to only screen some movies in 3D?
