The other day I saw the movie Synecdoche, New York, written and directed by Charlie Kaufmann, and I’m pretty certain it’s the strangest movie I’ve ever seen. The unconventional plot, erratic jumps in time, and the pure randomness of every scene left me completely in awe that a person was able to think this up.
While I think Synecdoche, New York is his strangest Kaufmann has written several other screenplays such as Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, that are all worthy competitors. What is Kaufmann’s strangest screenplay in your opinion?
