Hi r/movies.
First of all i would like to apologize for the over specific request. I am now working on an action script and would like to find more reference on the characters dynamic in it.
I would like to get more suggestions on films that have these 3 types of character:
1) a chosen kid - probably with special powers or destined to fulfill a prophecy (the living mc guffin). Best if the bad guys is hunting him the whole film.
2) a father/ father figure - the closest character to the chosen kid. Tries his best to protect the kid and genuinely cares about him, but worried about his 'gift'/'destiny'.
3) a protector - a powerful figure (physically capable/magic user etc) that is there to protect the child. This character main mission is protect the child because of HIS POWERS/DESTINY.
I'm looking for any films that has any resemblance of these three elements. For now the films in my list is -
Terminator 2- for now this the best one. U guys know why, it quite fits the whole thing. John Connor is the chosen kid, Sarah Connor is the father figure, Arnold is the protector. Best reference so far.
Logan - the father and protector figure is combined in Logan's character. The chosen child element is absolutely prominent in the film.
Pitch Black - weakest in the list. Riddick is reluctant. The child got no special powers.
Hope to get some help here. Hit me me with your suggestions folks! Anything from old movies to anime to whatever.
