I've noticed alot of combat scenes in movies look more expensive to set up and end up being less scary than what they're trying to mimic, why?

I'm not military or anything, just something I thought was weird.

For example, something that always bugged me in Jarhead was the A10 friendly fire scene, where the planes strafe like they're in WWII, and the sounds used for it

Real life examaple is so much scarier, Safe for Work actual friendly fire vid on the ground 0:23 seconds in, dude started recording after first getting shot at, no gore just swearing. Different vid taken from a distance

Shit is terrifying. Same goes for helicopter attacks, RPGs, damn near everything. Why don't movies mimic this when it's far scarier?
