Since The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and Rogue One all came out, Star Wars fans, movie buffs, and casual movie audiences alike have been in a raging battle. I mean, I can live with the hates and complaints and I'm still not trying to screw the haters off but I thought TFA, TLJ, and R1 are all outstanding in terms of film-making and quality. They're all got positive reviews from the critics and audiences are still mixed with the current Star Wars movies. The people bashing the Disney Star Wars movies are making it so much worse and some are saying these critics were being paid by Disney is an inaccurate point. What's interesting is that this group of haters attacking TFA, TLJ, and R1 who acclaim the films isn't new. It clearly seems that people who don't enjoy TFA, TLJ, and R1 appreciated the prequel movies more, in my experience, and I can understand why. The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith all had the script, acting and editing problems but I feel like the Disney Star Wars movies did a better job for the storyline, characters, and setting. Yes, they've followed the original trilogy properly and that's how it works. For now, I want to explain why people didn't like the Star Wars movies Disney has to offer and there will be a lot of option I want to talk about.
- Fans didn't like TFA, TLJ, and R1 because they did not go the way they wanted?
- Fans felt that TFA was more like a remake/reimagine of A New Hope.
- Fans felt that TLJ was too different and didn't even follow things from TFA?
- Fans felt that R1 was like a Tom Clancy movie that has Vietnam War alike-theme and has no Jedi battle?
- Fans wants to know who are/were Rey's parents and the fact that Rey never revealed her last name is.
- Fans wants Snoke's backstory and still couldn't receive.
- Luke Skywalker felt like a grumpy, old man in TLJ.
I could go on.
As for Kylo Ren, I really love him as a character and he definitely comes across an immature Sith Padawan throwing a temper tantrum a lot of the time. Dark Side leads you to anger and hate, that's how the Dark Side of the Force works. Star Wars fans are acting like Kylo Ren is a whiner for being an angry brat but that is not exactly the point. I also love Rey as a female hero in the sequel trilogy. Rey's a trained scavenger and she knew how to do everything because she is smart, calming, cheerful, and emotional. Finn is also funny and likable.
Besides, I can deal with the disappointments through the years but I don't like how people keep involving Disney Star Wars movies in various non-SW movie discussions and it's already getting annoying. A Han Solo movie is coming out this May and it may get disappointments from the fans as well but it looks like a fun film. I'm not expecting a Han Solo to be worse than the prequels movies but still, it looks like fun if it's a good movie. Still, it's really annoying when Star Wars fans say TFA, TLJ, and R1 are bad films but I don't see how they are that bad. I love them to death and they are better than the prequel movies. Also, calling a Star Wars CEO/President a bad name is offensive and I'm calling a personal attack; mostly trolling.
