I know it’s not a popular opinion, but I just can’t stand car chase scenes.
They’re all the same. They go on for several minutes. And we know the resolution before it happens. Either the person being chased gets away, or there’s a seen it a million times crash at the end. The result depends on if it’s a main or side character being chased.
I never nod off during movies, but the few times I have have been during 5+ minute chase scenes. How many times can I see cars going in and out of traffic and spinning around and making unrealistic jumps or physical feats? It’s so redundant and pointless to me. And yet, they are in so many movies.
They’re just cut and past scenes and I don’t find them exhilarating and exciting, I find them exhausting. Anyone else feel the same? Or can you explain why you enjoy chase scenes?
