Paradox of suspense: Sometimes, retelling of familiar stories appears to still induce suspense, despite the fact that the audience already knows how the story will unfold.
I am considering this in the context of multiple viewings of a movie. First on my mind is Inception. Incredible screenplay, acting and score makes this as gripping as the first viewing. Next is Predator. Raw jungle setting, incredible action, invisible hunter makes it as intriguing as the first watch.
