I just saw the the Mist for the first time and noticed it's one of the few films where the Military actually seems to be saving the day at the end to restore control. I feel like in most horror films any authority figures (military, police, etc) are shown to be unable to handle the threat to illustrate the severity of it. Curious if there are any other horror/monster films that avoid this trope in the same way that the mist did.
