It was phenomenal.
Before I start, I wanted to say that I have been suffering social anxiety for years. I have scars in my body from people who have used knives to cut me, and the memories weren't pleasant. People laugh at me and beat me, and I end up home with bruises.
This movie perfectly portrays social anxiety and Adam Sandler did a terrific job in portraying it. He is very relatable to me and Paul Thomas Anderson's script is witty while also being sincere. It felt like he wrote this movie for people who suffer from social anxiety and especially, it's like a love letter to me. Watching the movie made me cried for how emotional it was.
This might be a short writing for I am just so emotionally connected to the film now, but i am very glad that Paul Thomas Anderson made this, I can watch this 1000 times and never get bored because of how great it is. It's the film that I will never forget in my life.
