I recently watched mother! for the first time this past week. I've been wanting to watch it for a while but all the negative reviews kept me away. After watching it, I was really impressed! The last 30 minutes or so left me paralyzed. Disregarding the somewhat straightforward symbolism in the film, why was there so much hate?
