I'm watching The Fugitive (1993) currently, and the scene where the U.S. Marshall service led by the intrepid Deputy Sam Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones) track down and attempt to arrest Copeland, a relatively angry escaped convict. In the mix, things go awry and one of his "kids" are is taken hostage by Mr. Copeland. Long story short, Gerard kills Copeland with not-to-much fanfare and the entire endeavor is over.
However, through out the scene, a lady is screaming. And once Copeland is shot, she begins screaming again. Gerard, leaving the site of the shooting slightly miffed that he had to kill someone, points at the lady and simply says "Shut up" and she does. Something about Tommy Lee Jones in that scene reminded me how much of a "Wyatt Earp, dogged and unrelenting lawman" character he played.
