A while back I met a friend online and TL;DR, she's pretty cool and has wild stories, but I never saw her as anything more than a platonic friend (at best). Anyway, she has a crush on some dude and after I gave her my two cents on whether or not she should try to go for him, it seems like she and that dude are getting closer. She tells me she loves it when I ask about how things are going with him, because she likes to talk about him. Is this something that platonic friends do for each other? Is it weird if I told her I gave her that advice so that she'd actually consider her well-being before making a rash decision?
