I’m married with a young daughter. We just moved into our new home and want to start our own Christmas traditions. I don’t want to do any traveling Christmas Day. My husbands family wants us to come to them. We want to spend it at home as a family. How do we break the news to them in a kind way that we won’t be spending Christmas Day with them? I’ve already told my family and they are fine with it. I feel like his family won’t take it as well.
