I know this is just a minor technicality, but I thought it was interesting. Also, I'm sure there are other examples, but these are the ones that jumped out at my memory.
-
2005's "It's Hard out Here for a Pimp" from Hustle & Flow officially went to "Jordan Houston, Cedric Coleman and Paul Beauregard" (not Juicy J, Frayser Boy, and DJ Paul)
-
2015's "Earned It" from Fifty Shades of Grey cited Abel Tesfaye (not The Weeknd)
-
2018's nomination for "All the Stars" from Black Panther mentions "Solána Rowe" (not SZA)
-
...but 2018's winner "Shallow" from A Star Is Born says it went to Lady Gaga (not Stefani Germanotta)
I just thought it was weird (albeit not shocking) that the Academy seems to insist on using real names when it comes to rappers but doesn't care otherwise.
