I’m currently rewatching The Flintstones and there’s something I never really quite understood, if the villain (Kyle MacLachlan) wanted to hire someone who would be easily duped into making executive decisions that would benefit him, why would he be looking for the smartest, most apt person working at the quarry? Wouldn’t going for the dumbest guy be the best approach?
