I think Gravity is an extremely bad and overrated film

It was certainly visually impressive, no one can really argue with that. The setting for the movie was a treat, and the CGI was fantastically done. Other than that though, the movie was just terrible in my opinion.

The story was bland and predictable. The sequence of events of being in serious trouble then safe and sound, rinse and repeat was overdone and boring. The acting was plain old bad. It was forced and contrived, and yet I can't totally blame the actors because the dialogue they were given to work with was extremely cringe worthy. The scene where she's talking to George Clooney's dead character telling him to say hello to her daughter and that 'Momma loves her' literally made me wince. The part where she's talking to Mission Control on her way back down to earth making jokes and such was a joke in itself. Sandra Bullock's character I found to be very unlikable and annoying. The entire movie was totally unrealistic, and not just the science parts but also how the characters interacted with each other and dealt with situations.

I am thinking that many people just liked the film because it was visually stunning, and was an awesome spectacle to see in the movie theaters. I bet it was really cool to see in 3D too. Does anyone else here feel the same way? Am I missing something? Has anyone watched and enjoyed the movie while in theaters originally, yet after seeing it a second time realize they feel the same way as I do? Would some people here disagree with me and say the acting was good and the story was entertaining? Does anyone think I'm batshit crazy for not totally loving this flick?
