I'm afraid I'm picking the wrong sub for this, if so, please if anybody can point me towards a more relevant sub. I was just doing some googling about the major animation studios and something stroke me: how can Illumination work as a (sadly) big player in the animated movie industry when they have just 100 employees? Do they have history of outsourcing their animation? Do they have all external marketing? How can this model actually function and churn out such huge blockbuster hits?
