I don’t fully understand and I’m just extremely curious as to why critics liked the Movie so much more than the casual moviegoer. For those of you that don’t know, it has an 83% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, which is decently good, but only a 43% from audiences. Now I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I’m wanting to, however I’m also skeptical because I don’t want to watch a movie that I’ll bore me to death. I can understand it getting like a 60-70 from audiences, but 43 fucking percent? That’s like Last Jedi levels of disparity right there. I mean, it’s proven to be even more divisive than films like Batman vs. Superman, The Witch, or Venom. And for that website, that’s definitely quite a feat. Don’t get me wrong, I was one of those people that originally expected it to be one of those movies that the critics would love way more than the general public, but even I’m honestly surprised that it’s THIS divisive. Can someone explain to me why this is?
