Not looking for the most obscure or bad movie you'll never see. If I wanted crazy loopholes, I'd ask AskReddit. Instead I'm asking movie buffs, hoping for some great serious answers.
Not a loophole, but an answer like, "it hasn't come out yet, I'm hoping my last movie is something so great, it's better than my current favorite movie," while great, and the first thing I thought of, isn't what I'm looking for either. I mean, it's a great answer, but I'm wondering how you'd approach the problem... it's also not meant to be morbid, but if you had control over the situation, if you were given the chance to watch a movie before you die, whenever that is (hopefully many years from now), what movie would you want it to be... and why?
For me, my go-to answer is Kimi no Na wa. because it's my favorite movie. It's so amazing. Visually stunning, beautiful music, and wickedly good story. If someone asked me for the perfect movie, it would be the first thing I reach for.
But would I really want it to be my last? The 1989 Batman would be a solid choice, since my father took me to see it... at the drive-in! And Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson and "have you ever danced with the Devil in the pale moonlight?" It's just a great choice. And it's Batman. Marvel may rule the cinematic comic book world, but I'll always love Batman. And my (late) father took me to see it. Along the same lines, Terminator 2: Judgment Day. My mother's still with us, but she took me to see that one in the theater, too. A great cinematic experience.
Or I could pick something introspective... I haven't really thought about this much, if I'm being honest. That one old movie, I think it's It's a Wonderful Life, would be a great sendoff.
I'm not trying to be super morbid, it's just something I was wondering.
