An Adam McKay directed docudrama/comedy film about the Corona Virus?

A Corona Virus movie, directed by Adam McKay and released 5 - 10 years after the pandemic passes (whenever that is). Starring Christian Bale as US President Donald Trump, Jessica Biel as US First Lady Ivanka Trump, Steve Carrell as US Secretary of Health Alex Azar, Daniel Bruhl as Italian PM Guiseppe Conte and Richard Goulding reprising a previous role as UK PM Boris Johnson. Narrator: Ryan Gosling (for no reason).

Film is told from 3 perspectives: Trump in the US, Johnson in the UK and Conte in Italy.

Movie opens up in late January 2020, with Trump walking down the hall of the White House discussing his recent impeachment and the upcoming elections with his assistants. His nervous secretary approaches him: "Mr President, the Secretary of Health is on the phone". Trump: "Not now I'm busy." Secretary: "Sir.....its important."

The entire film intersperses real footage of the outbreak and news clips, with documentary styled shots. Azar has meetings with health advisors trying to explain to him the seriousness of the virus while he then has to explain it to Trump later.

Cut to Johnson being advised by his assistants that a "herd immunity" will work. He approves: record scratch. Narrator: "It didn't work".

Italian PM Conte struggles to keep his country together as Italy's Corona Virus cases spiral out of control as the PM faces an almighty challenge. He believes he is facing a losing battle (the most personal of the three).

Trump is seen in the oval office making calls determining how to handle the impending recession, whilst he makes frantic calls to his hotels in New York to see if everyone is okay.

Conte has made the decision to lock down the country but Italy's cases and deaths continue to rise, he loses faith before he see's the various video's of people in their homes singing the Italian National Anthem. This inspires him.

In the UK Johnson is panicking that the herd mentality may have backfired. He has not been feeling well recently. There is a scene where he is in 10 Downing Street barking orders. His assistant: "Prime Minister, are you okay?" Johnson: "I'm fine...I just feel...I feel....". He faints, his assistant calls an ambulance as he is rushed to hospital. There is one long single take from Johnson's POV on the stretcher as he is wheeled through the hospital. Doctors" Male over 50, slight fever and flu like symptoms". "Okay has he any underlying pulmonary conditions?" As they talk Johnson looks down various halls, see's Doctors frantically working, some people wearing PPE, some not, families tearfully saying goodbye to loved ones from behind a window. This is the only perspective that takes the film to the front line of the virus.

Conte has a private audience with Pope Francis (obviously played by Jonathan Pryce). They discuss faith, is God responsible, and when would it be over, if ever. The camera pans out to show Conte and the Pope have been 10 feet apart the whole time.

In the US, the media continue to report contradicting stories and theories while Trump makes speeches about how he hopes US citizens will attend Church on Easter Sunday despite the quarantine, the protests in Michigan, how he will no longer send money to the WHO due to its relationship with China, Azar keeps trying to tell Trump the seriousness of the virus. Trump makes a speech were he suggests injecting people with disinfectant could combat the virus. record scratch: Narrator: "This actually happened". Cut to scenes of various news footage and meme's about the comment. Azar in a cabinet meeting: "Okay he didn't hear that one from me".

Wish I had an ending but this ain't over yet, if it ever will be. I was just watching the Big Short and wondered would the corona virus ever get the same movie treatment, since the Big Short was made only 6 years after the start of the Recession and was also told from 3 perspectives. Obviously some scenes wouldn't happen, Conte and the Pope would just Skype or Zoom each other instead, Johnson self isolated first before the hospital, who knows what goes on in the Trump's meetings, but hey, we're all allowed some artistic license (or just out and out lying lol). Not trying to be political here, just got bored and thought it was funny.
