I moved to New York.. Now i'm older than HS students in my grade PLEASE HELP!!

I moved to New york in 2019 and regestered for school in September like any other NY student. When I went to the registration office and was signing up, I noticed a paper on the wall of NY's grades by age. At 8th grade it said 13, at 9th grade it said 14, and at 10th grade it said 15, 11th grade 16. The lady explained it to me and said i have to be in 9th. I am 15 and by age, I'm supposed to be in 10th grade but instead I'm in a class full of 14 year olds! When registering I showed them my grades from last year (which are very good) but it didn't matter since it's NY rules. If I was in 8th grade last year I HAVE to go to 9th grade. Plus I have to complete some regents necessary for moving to the next grade. Although these factors are reasonable, none of my hard work from previous years seemed to matter as I ended up in very very low classes. My math class had like 3 people in them and I had to do algebra 1 again. This later got changed but whoever made my schedule put a bunch of senior electives so I ended up getting a bunch of changes. I partially took the algebra regents and it was enough for my guidance counselor to move me to geometry honors. That is my only good achedemic class and all of my other classes are too easy. Anyway, I really want to be with my correct age group next year. Although going to a junior is a big jump, I really want to. My grades are satisfactory and since I don't have a full gpa (its my first year in NY) my comulitave (quarterly) gpa are 90, 91, and 94. PLEASE explain to me my options and if there's any hope at all for jumping to my correct grade by age! So far as it seems I'm stuck like this and will graduate younger than I should... This is really upsetting and really stresses me out.
