I watched the entirety of the main series a few weeks ago after only having seen the first one and I'm actually really pleasantly surprised by the series. The sequels don't feel like forced cash-grabs and it feels like there was genuine care put into characters. The sequels actually felt necessary in a way that they covered all these different stages of life and how the whole series actually has the theme of growing up. Plus, the movies are absolutely hilarious (though, Reunion did make me laugh a little less than the first three). And though the first one is generally considered the best, I have to pick the second one as my favorite. It has that growing up theme of the later entries while still keeping the vibe of the first one, it's both heartwarming and hilarious, we really get to see the characters actually mature and it all just kinda comes together really nicely.
I think it's one those really good movie series that belongs to one of those that were sadly forgotten. Sure, it's by no means a cinematic masterpiece, but it has more than a few things going for it. What do you think?
