I’ve been trying to figure this out maybe someone who’s into this more can help!
I live in the united states, i am an AMERICAN. but also I am hispanic. My parents are both from Mexico. My great grandparents on my mom side are Japanese, but we don’t practice any japanese culture stuff. We’re pretty mexican. & the great grandparent on my Dads side are from Spain.
So truly what does this make me? I get confused when someone says “oh i’m italian.” but they don’t have a italian citizenship or live or have lived in Italy. They only say that bc their grandparents are. Or ARE THEY RIGHT?
So what do I identify as? And Can soemone explain this or how nationality & ethnicities work?
