This would totally be out of context if I left the post without any caption but I’ve been wondering about it and I want honest opinions. This photo was taken 4 days ago in a well-known district called Maadi in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. The lady in this picture is covering her whole face, she was asked to step out of the building along with all the other residents due to an issue with the construction of the building when the workers were working on it. As you can see, she is covering her whole face and head and do you want to know the reason? That’s because she is Najat Al-Saghira. She is a retired, renowned popular singer from the classic 60’s and 70’s who retired 18 years ago. Her music was considered to be one of the most successful music in the Tarab Classical genre and one of the most famous and well-respected artists in the Middle East. MJ, the King of Pop himself was a huge fan of her and her voice. I wouldn’t be posting this picture right now if I wasn’t a HUGE MASSIVE fan of this woman myself. So I always wonder, why do they do this? Why do famous ppl do this? Why do they cover their faces and wear baggy/shady clothes whenever they are outside of their houses? It’s just strange that even during her career, she would avoid interviews as much as she could and she never wanted to be in any talk shows or live appearances on TV unless it revolves her performing because it was her job. She is my number one favorite singer ever. And I love her to bits, I just wish she would give her fans a little attention or appreciation. She NEVER updates her fans from all over the world. I know it’s probably because she’s old now and she wants to live a quiet life away from stardom but why? Doesn’t she love her fans? Is there any way we could get just a little bit more of her? She’s just so incredibly darn private. I just wanna know what ppl think of her and think of this situation. Would you be like this if you were in her place? Or what exactly? It’s a darn lucky shot whoever took this photo because we ain’t getting anymore of her in another 10 years or so. It’s SO RARE to find recent photos of her now..
