I saw this movie last night and I cannot recommend it enough. It easily blows the likes of My Cousin Vinny and A Few Good Men out of the water to claim the spot of the best courtroom drama I’ve ever seen.
For those who haven’t heard of it, the film centers around the trial of four nazi judges (though it really only focuses on one.) the film asks the question: to what degree are we responsible for the actions of others? It also brilliantly highlights how the law can be twisted to suit one’s own ends, how fascism can take root, and how the concept of the greater good can be perverted to suit evil intentions. I can’t recommend it enough.
