A young, rather detached loner yet charismatic professional hitman goes through life feeling rather empty. doing contract killings and bedding new women.
Struggling to find a real purpose in life, he passes the time by sleeping with new women who he often never sees again, and by doing contract killings. He kills because he's good at it, and enjoys the money and freedom that comes from such profession.
One day he sleeps with a woman who tells him she thinks she loves him, he dismisses this but she asks if she'll see him again. He considers it and agrees, longing for a little more than just random sex.
They see each other a few more times. By now the woman is very deeply in love, and the hitman starts warming up to her. Yet, he still feels a hole in his heart, this doesn't feel like the life he wants. But he continues to see her.
One day He gets a contract to kill a mafia ring leader, which he does. He later finds out through the girl the man he killed was her father(remember she doesn't know what he does). Quickly after, he gets another contract, this time to kill the woman, the ring leader's daughter.
This is where the movie takes a dark turn. The hitman initially rejects this, but his mind is in constant battle. On one hand, here's the person he's cared about most in a long time, on the other hand, he feels settling down with her is not the path he wants to take, it's not his purpose.
This is where the plot thickens. After realizing that the only way things can be as they were before, he needs to get rid of the person who's creating doubt in his mind, her.
As the movie reaches it's climax, he ends up murdering her. After realizing his mistake, the calm and cool hitman goes on an emotionally driven murdering rampage which lasts a few days.
After all the killing and longing for the woman who's no longer alive, he finally recovers his composure and sets himself out for a plan.
He figures he want's out of the professional hitman life, otherwise he will never be able to advance in life. However it is not so easy, because his higher ups simply wouldn't let him go, he knows to much.
So he sets out to kill all his higher ups, those who know about him, and he does.
Thinking once he is no longer restrained in his shackles, it will be a breath of fresh air and a chance to leave the past behind and make something of himself.
However this is not what ends up happening. At the end of the movie, after realizing he no longer has a purpose. The woman he most cared about is dead, and no longer having a job, he feels that now, this is truly what it means to really have no purpose.
So, drowning in guilt and sorrow, reaching the end of the movie; our young hitman kills himself.
The End
Feel free to ask me questions about the plot. I just conjured it up and I still need to solidify my ideas. Thank you
