Growing up, Die Hard was always an ‘adult movie’ from my point of view. Made for adults, by adults, with violence and profanity. It’s one of my favorite movies and I loved it as a kid, but I never really put an age in McClane. I guess I just saw him as ‘adult’. Now that I’m past 33, it feels super weird to think that McClane would be younger than I am now.
I think I just assumed he was in his 40s or something, but I never pegged him for 33. Feels way too young for the shit that goes down in that movie. And Holly being so successful at such a young age never dawned on me either...
Am I the only one who didn’t put him in his early 30’s?
