Ever since I had read the book in highschool I absolutely love it. It may be one of my favorites. So recently I decided to watch the movie that is supposedly also very good. Boy, was that a disappointment. I couldnt get through it. Now I understand that it was a different time and that may contribute to why many people like it and I dont. So I thought: how awesome could this story be told in 2018. I would love a more dark, serious kind of movie, instead of the bit silly looking one. Like imagine it being directed by Ridley Scott or David Fincher. The possibilities of this just make me excited and I am suprised it hasnt been done yet in 47 years.
