Bioware is known for creating original universes with interesting lore and memorable characters. They really dropped the ball with Andromeda. It was the first Bioware game that did not pull me into it's world.
Despite the reviews I really enjoyed Mortal Engines even though it had some cheesy acting as well as The Nutcracker. They both reminded me of Bioware video games. The universe of Mortal Engines reminded of the sci fi and fantasy universes I fell in love with! Particularly Avatar the Last Airbender and Mass Effect! The twists at the later part of both movies reminded me of of the reveal of the player as Revan in KOTOR 1 and Sovereign as the true threat in ME1.
Should Hollywood attempt to make a movie that is like a good Bioware game that is actually a good movie? Is there a talent shortage in Hollywood? Are all the good directors and actors being sucked up by Marvel and other studios?
