I remember the movie and TV series from when I was a kid, and they were pretty cheesy. Not quite downright awful, but there was a whole...style to certain 70s productions that did NOT age well. Barbarella, while also pretty cheesey, has managed to age well. I'm just re-watching the original Logan movie on Prime and whoa, it's...so that bad 70s thing.
Anyway, as a kid I also read many of the books on which the movie/series were based. They were much grittier and dystopic. Thinking back on them, with the right script and director, this could be a sweet franchise (and a relief from superheros)....
