I apologize, I am typing all of this on my phone.
I have been trying to understand what genre of movies I like the most. I have realized that it is not a specific genre that I like, but the characteristics of the specific characters.
I'm looking to find movies that have protagonists with ambition and drive. I understand this is vague, so I will provide a few examples.
Examples: might include spoilers for interstellar, batman movies, and molly's game.
Cooper from Interstellar. From the beginning he had an interest for space and was in his own world. He never gave up and kept pursuing his objective.
Batman from Batman begins, dark night and dark night rises. In the last movie (dark night rises), he climbed out of the prison with a broken back. Though, I'm sure most of you know how determined he was to save his world.
Molly's game. Molly basically made a bad situation into a great one through entrepreneurial opportunities.
Other movies with similar protagonist : creed, marvel movies, upgrade, annihilation, etc
I hope that this provides a gyst of what I'm looking for.
