I was watching the movie Guns Akimbo on Amazon Prime the other day, and I really, really loved the movie up until a certain point, and then it lost its appeal to me. I feel the last half of the movie could be much improved with some editing. I myself have no real experience with it, but I do feel like this would be a fun project to try.
I know that fan-edited versions of films have existed in the past, with people splicing together the Star Wars prequels as a prominent example. What steps would I need to take to dip my toe into trying this? I wouldn't be trying to resell it or put it online or anything, ideally I'd just put it on dvd and photoshop a fun case for it.
