Deeply scarring a person because in reality you are or some time ago we're adrift in this world. It's yourself you hate/hated from your own scars, so you project your own self-hatred on the person you "love". You hate yourself, but won't treat yourself as bad as how you treat the person you're hurting. BIG IF when you realize what you're doing.. you'll hate yourself for hurting that person you now realize you could and should have loved. In reality they're most likely gone, so love yourself now that you're awake how (if you could go back) you would have treated them if you didn't make one of the biggest regrets you'll ever make.

Were there any good Hellraiser movies?
I was raised in a "no horror movie" house. I had never seen a single horror movie growing up. Anyway, this summer I've put a few on on, including some I knew existed but were "off limits" for me.
Hellraiser 1 and 2 are on Netflix. You know what? There were a few creepy moments in the first one, but not much. and the second one is surprisingly boring. I kind of agree with Roger Ebert, who said it was pretty much just a "look up and see if anything is happening" type movie. I mean....it was pretty boring. A few more intense moments in the final 10 minutes, but very little going on.
Anyone like this series? I see very little in it through the first two.

I watch tons of horror movies, and I've been thinking about subscribing to Shudder. Does anyone with experience have strong opinions on the library, good or bad? Is the size of the library satisfactory? Is it full of garbage movies, or are there plenty of good ones? How quickly does it typically get movies from the last few years?

My family has such bad taste in movies
Now I'm not saying EVERY film they watch is horrible but some of the movies they watch are fucking horrible. For some dumb reason they like those really stupid Hallmark movies that are fucking horribly produced with sub par acting and a lack of a plot. Looking for a movie that captures the gritty details of crime
I recently watched Green Room and loved it. One of my favorite aspects of the film is the attention to detail regarding the criminal aspect of the setting -- all the language accurately reflects the slang of the criminal world, and all the methods feel very realistic. The antagonists weren't nefarious scheming bad guys, they were just cold hearted and efficient criminals. I'm looking for a thriller with similar elements, one that really sucks you into the particular (criminal) subculture. Bonus points for drug dealing crime. Any suggestions?

Can we talk about Frailty for a minute?
This movie is so well done. A great character study and very minimalistic. The way it’s shot is very claustrophobic and usually with only 2 or three characters in a given scene. It’s very effective and helps lend to the overall tension of what’s happening. Not to mention Bill Paxton, Matthew McConaughey and Powers Booth are awesome. I just can’t help but wonder what great stuff we’re missing out on after Bill Paxton’s untimely death. Like most of his stuff, this film is underrated and overlooked imo.

Its hard not to.
Im using a natural substance right now, its an opioid, its amazing for my depression and enxiety. And i think it would be a great benefit to my life if i did one dose every 3 days. Extremely obscure R-rated CGi animated direct to DVD movie?
No, I'm not talking about Sausage Party, or some weeb shit. I'm talking about an R rated animated film that isn't even on the "List Of Adult Animated films" list on Wikipedia (which for some reason includes Ice Age: The Meltdown).
I remember before Sausage Party, I was looking up R rated animated films, and something popped up. There was this direct to DVD english dub of an R rated CGi movie that satirizes bullying, and it was about this ginger boy getting threatened by murderers or something.
I tried looking for it again on Google by using keywords, but I can't find it.
I can't remember the title of the movie, but I do remember that the poster for it said "for lovers of Simpsons, Beavis & Butt-head and South Park" or some stupid crap, and the animation looked like that shit stain of a show, Fanboy & Chum Chum. And since it was an English dub I was watching, it's a movie that originated outside of the US.

The Sound of Music is fucking amazing!
Ok. Story time.
I am 33 years old kinda like musical comedies and I am a tour guide.
Recently I have been to Vermont, at the Trapp Family Lodge, with a group. I didn't know anything about the Sound of Music... Never say the movie, knew nothing. Obviously, being a tour guide, I studied a bit as to have some knowledge of we're going so I knew the big line right before we get to the Lodge. So we get there, we have a private tour and at the end Kristina, Maria's grand daughter, do a little question and answer with the group. Great woman, people have fun, I tell my group at the end I've never watch the movie, they tell me I should ( no shit ). I was reluctant at first because it IS a really old movie and I'm wondering if it did live well... So a day after the tour, like right now, I just watched it. Holy shit... It is a great movie... Music is great and filmography for the time ( the 60s ) is amazing! So basically... this post is for every youngsters... Old movies doesn't equal bad, go watch this!!!! So my question to you guys is: How long did it take before you watch this masterpiece?

The moon landing, first step, and One Giant Leap for Mankind are some of my favorite things in all of history. When I found out Ryan Gosling will play Neil Armstrong, directed by Damien Chazelle, I literally cannot wait to see this, have been googling all evening. Early reviews below are very positive. I guess I’ll have to watch Apollo 13, Gravity, Interstellar, The Martian, and Armageddon on loop until October 12th.... :)

I hate Pulp Fiction topping every Best-of 90s list
It was influential, sure, but influential doesn't mean the greatest. It has got great dialogues but plot-wise, it's kind-of meh. It's just a very different movie.
Whenever you look up any best of 90s list, this movie is sitting at the top. Looks like everyone is confusing 'most influential' with 'greatest'. Does it have the greatest direction or the greatest acting? No. Goodfellas had better shots by far. Does it have the greatest plot? No, not at all. It's a very good movie but whenever someone says 'it's the greatest movie of 90s', I've only one word for it : overrated. 90s has many better movies.

5 years ago if would have asked me what my favorite film was I would of told you that “I don’t know, it all depends on my mood” but 4 years ago that all changed, I have declared my favorite film to be A Clockwork Orange. I must admit the first time I watched it I was on drugs so I wasn’t too sure what to think of it. A Batman origin movie based in the 90s with retro music and retro everything.
This could be perfect idea. With Affleck movie not happening soon and DCEU being about everyone else but Batman. Imagine Bruce Wayne stepping into Gotham in the 90's after years in exile and trying to find his place in the crime driven gruesome city, that took his parents from him. 'One Year' and 'Mask of Phantasm' (animated movies) are the best example why Batman worked and influenced popular culture in the 90s. If you ask me, Batman in the 2020 doesn't make any sense. Batman belongs in the ninties with his Batgadgets and punch lines. (Imagine retro titles/credits in the beginning. And 'The End' at the end, like good old movies)

I watched The Thing (1982)
Per a (rather mild) argument earlier, I declared that this movie bored me when I was a kid and scoffed at the idea that it was scary. So I figured I better put my money where my mouth is and watch it as an adult.
Here's the thing: I haven't been scared by a movie in forever; it's just a possibility that fades as you get older imo. And I stand by that: The Thing is not scary. BUT,
The Thing was better than I remembered. It was a somewhat entertaining suspense-filled movie. I was engrossed enough that the special effects didn't seem all that cheesy. (I remember laughing at spider-head when I was a kid.) I wasn't disappointed, I didn't feel like I wasted my time. I don't think it's the second coming of sliced bread, but it was a decent horror movie. I'm interested in watching the prequel just to see what's up.
So, just another reminder that reactions to movies can change based on different points in life.

What’s everybody’s favorite Harry Potter movie and why?
My absolute personal favorite is The half Blood prince. It’s just the middle ground between the desperate atmosphere of the deathly hollows and the mystical incredulous atmosphere of the movies set in hogwarts. I love how everything is falling apart yet coming together at the same time. Plus there’s just so many of the most pivotal moments of the entire franchise marked throughout the films. Voldemort’s origins,dumbledore’s fall, and the revelation of professor snape everyone has been waiting for since the first movie. The absolute best one, hands down on my opinion!

This has to be the craziest movie experience in theatre EVER ! I became THE DARK KNIGHT !
Long work day, wasn't feeling it but went anyways even though i watched it like 2 days ago. I go, buy the ticket. Theatre is 85% packed. We sit and start watching it. 1 hour in some stupid guy pulls the fire alarm, sound cuts off but picture continues. We were asked to leave and stand outside for safety reasons.
There was no fire, AMC employee confirmed it because he said he saw the guy pulling it and running away. Here comes the first crazy part. People start going back in without and official response from AMC employee. What if there was an actual big fire? i guess they saw the fire truck leave and one guy started going back ...sheep herd then i guess.
Now we are all back in, screen is off, no sound. Screen comes back with no sound. Am like no more of this, i pull out my phone and start playing THE DARK KNIGHT on my phone and sync the timings 0_0 so now we have world's second largest IMAX screen with the sound coming from my phone, everyone started laughing, clapping...it was batshit crazy hehehe...i synced it to the second, it was on point lol. I was the knight in the dark LOL. Then some people from the right and left side continued the idea and started playing it from their phones too, custom surroud sound LOL
Screen went off too eventually because i think AMC employees gave up, it was midnight already but i wanted to speak with the manager.
I found him. I kindly requested if i can visit the projection room since its my favorite theatre and been going there from years but he respectfully denied since it's against the rules for public to go in there. I won't quit, i will ask AMC HQ for permission soon along with some suggestion for that theatre like they need a all building intercom incase they need to announce something to everyone. People were so confused in the beginning since no one came to announce anything until after 15 minutes.
Manager was cool enough to hand me one extra re entry pass.

Why do eBooks often cost more than physical books?
Seems like they’d save money on paper/printing/shipping. It costs them nothing to give you the eBook. I can’t imagine why the eBook is hard to make since the book is created digitally before it’s printed. Any idea why it’s more expensive in most cases?

Eho else hates anime?
Does anybody else just absolutely hate anime and get bothered by people who watch it? Like im fine with anime itself but dont personally watch it. What really bothers me is when people talk ablut it all the time. Like its me and 3 other friends chilli g and then all of a sudden they start talking ablut their favorite shows for like an hour so i just sit there and go on my phone. Like i domt talk about my tv shows that often, line sometimes i say they exist and thats it really. Like they are elitists when it comes to Dubs and subs and all of that. How hard/expensive is it for daycares to switch software platforms?
My kid goes to a franchised daycare that uses a software platform for billing, child tracking and parent communications. There are some issues with the software, and it would be great to try some of the other ones, but how much work, time, money or contract-breaking would it take to switch over? Is there a benefit to multiple small water wells?
There is a gated neighborhood that just got built near me and I noticed something about it that was very different than most. The water is provided by multiple small water wells. The configuration is one water well per every 4 houses and the well is located in between the cluster of 4 houses.
This was done by a professional and very experienced drilling company, and it made me wonder. Is there a benefit to this type of water system rather than having one large well and tank that serves the entire neighborhood?

Decomposition anomaly
My girlfriend is starting in the medical field and is fascinated with death. About a 2 months ago we had a litter of kittens and two of them died. About a month ago, we buried them in the backyard and planned on getting their bones out for her bone jar. (Sounds hotter than it is) Today we dug them up and even after more than a month the insides we still very much liquidy. The bones we also very soggy for lack of a better word. This was perplexing to both of us as after this much time it should mostly be skin, bones and hair. What causes this liquification? And how to bones get soggy?
Extra info: we live in the the central midwest. Moderate heat and wetness. They were buried in a box wrapped in a towel about a foot underground.

American Airlines overbooked a flight we are scheduled to be on in 2 weeks, they are asking us to take an earlier flight for a $400 voucher. Can we get a better deal?
First our flight is at noon, they want us to take a 6 am flight (out of Bahamas). This voucher expires in a year, we have no plans to fly anywhere in a year. We told them no, but to call us back if they can offer anything better. Just curious if they do call back, what we can ask for.

What to do if my ex doesnt want to give me back my stuff.
I have been with this girl for a little over 2 years and I broke up with her last February cause the relationship was leading nowhere and we were always arguing for stupid reasons. She needed time before talking back to me and I gave her that without pushing anything but after 4 months I contacted her to have my stuff back from her place (basic stuff, lots of clothes,books ect). She gave me back like a bag with half my clothes in it, she even posted it to me (!!!) Because she didn't wanted to see me, BTW there was never any abuse between us just intense arguing over stupid stuff. Anyway I wrote to her to tell her that half the things were there and she replied that she needed to clean up to find everything and to give her a week. A month and a half later with no response I wrote back to her and she just isn't replying. ... What the fuck should I do I just want my stuff back for Christ sakes....

Can Bengal Roach Spray Kill you?
Hello, I just moved into my new apartment. Recently I had a roach infestation in my car, not fun. After that episode, I have been on edge about roaches. They are so disgusting and undesirable. Anyways, after having a roach-free car for more than a week, I run into a huge palmetto bug lying on its back in my kitchen!!!! My heart stopped, I got on my counter after getting my roach spray from the laundry room. After that I sprayed it like crazy, maybe like 3 times but almost 10 seconds each time I sprayed. It kept moving its legs and it looked like it was about to start running. Before it could do anything I squished it with my brand new swiffer jet (RIP). Im sure some of the roach spray was inhaled, not a lot but a good amount. It was right under my oven so im scared to use it now since it is flammable. I cleaned up the mess and wiped it down. I am scared because i own 2 little dogs but they are out of town with my uncle for the week so they wont be back for another 5 days. The spray is clear so i dont know if it can be harmful to me, i turned on a fan and took a walk outside. IT doesnt smell like anything but i do feel kind of funny. What should I do? Should I seek medical attention? or just sleep it out.

The Princess Bride is a awesome movie.
Fencing, fighting, torture,revenge, giants,monsters, chases, escapes, True Love, miracles.... That is how a grandfather describes a book to his sick grandson. This is a story told to a sick boy that is told to us. There is all of that in the movie, as well as a great sense of humour makes this movie a awesome adventure/fantasy/comedy/romance... How to make Moana better
I watched Moana a while ago and although I liked it, I feel it fell short and could have been much better. I love animated films, and there are many that appeal to both young and adult viewers. Pixar and sometimes Disney do a fantastic job at this, showing colorful and imaginative worlds, while also illustrating real world issues, deep and interesting characters and relationships. Unfortunately, Moana ends up being more of a kids' movie.
First, I must say Moana does a lot of things right. The visuals are amazing, and the animation is stunning. I liked the design of the characters and the world felt alive. Artistically I have nothing but praise for Moana.
One of my complaints has to do with the title character. Moana is too perfect. A good story must provide room for some character growth, where the hero learns from their mistakes to overcome a difficulty and emerges changed. From the start we see Moana as the strong, confident person ready to face evil. An interesting character must be flawed. If we look at some great animated films, we can identify very definite flaws in the heroes. Toy Story's Woody is jealous, Simba runs away from responsibility, Aladdin lies, Marvin is overprotecting of Nemo, and their imperfections are what makes them relatable and makes for a satisfying conclusion after they better themselves along the journey. What can we say about Moana? She is perhaps a bit stubborn, but rather she is determined. I cannot see how Moana is better at the end of her journey than she was at the beginning. She has only one moment of doubt, about 40 seconds of frustration after a major defeat after which her grandmother comes back and reassures her about how awesome she is. Now compare this scene with Mufasa's ghost's speech "You have forgotten who you are, and so forgotten me (...) Remember who you are.” and see how much more dramatic and impactful it is.
I would have completely removed the Ocean's magic character from the film, it provides such a safety net that negates all stakes. I would have avoided the chosen hero trope, Moana is determined enough to not need the universe constantly telling her to keep going, it takes away from her accomplishments. What I would add to is her relationship with her father. This could have been one of the main conflicts on the film (aside from the darkness enveloping the world devouring all life) yet remains unexplored. This is where Pixar truly shines, telling very human stories through fantastical creatures, toys, robots, fish or monsters. But for Moana falls short, it feels like this is just a plot device and a minor inconvenience. After a moving scene telling how Moana's father saw his friend drown, filling him with guilt and regret, explaining his reasons for wanting Moana away from the ocean, her first reaction is to sing a song about how much she loves the ocean. Then after a major fight she just runs away and doesn't come back until after she saves the world and is welcomed back. Their relationship is never worked on and therefore not resolved satisfyingly.
Now this is how I would edit the story. Her father had a traumatic event, as a consequence he stands in conflict with Moana's path (to travel through the ocean). Moana realizes this conflict, so it must be hard for her to go to the ocean after knowing what his father went through (seeing his friend die and possibly almost drowning himself). Yet she keeps going. She must then encounter a problem, I would have a scene that mirrors the one with her father's friend. Maybe when Moana is on the ocean her father goes after her trying to get her back, and he has an accident, where Moana now must rescue him. She still manages to save him, but now has experienced the fright and guilt of almost losing a loved one because of her recklessness, bringing her closer to her father. Meanwhile her father (rescued) understands that Moana is a different person, he sees how strong she is and accepts that is her destiny. The closest to this in the movie was Moana having her boat flipped. She did struggle in the water and had her pet pig in danger, but it was more directed at "the ocean is dangerous" than to "this is what your father went through". Right after this happens, the next dialog is to blame it on the pig, and don't tell dad. I feel this was a lost opportunity. Because saving the world from darkness is not relatable, a conflicting but loving relationship with a parent is.
TLDR: The character Moana is too perfect, needs to be more flawed to be able to grow and be interesting. Explore more her relationship with her father.

Just rewatched Creed. Stallone was incredible.
So I know this has probably been said a million times but Sylvester Stallone’s performance in Creed was just the greatest. The scene in the locker room before the final fight, the scene in the hospital where he told Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis to get up and train during Rocky’s chemo session were both just so demanding and powerful you could actually feel the real, raw feeling of the acting. I could talk about how Stallone was robbed for the Oscar, but at the end of the day I am just so impressed with his perfect portrayal of a character he perfectly played after almost 40 years since its’ inception by Stallone himself. Completely blown away everytime I watch it this film.

Credit naming conventions
Why in some credites and on IMDb do some actors have "Glen morshower playing Colonel Sharp (as Glen Morshower)" Why do they need the bit in brackets are they playing colonel sharp or himself? i see it all the time but it's never with the stars of the films, it's only with the lesser parts and extra's. this specific example is from transformers and it's the army colonel who is an army colonel in every movie he's in.

It is a very interesting are of study and honestly, it is a very delicate subject. We see the media accusing the film industry of encouraging violent acts, but many argue the exact opposite.

Movie I can’t remember.
My mother passed away this past Saturday night and I need help in remembering the title of a movie. I have no idea who starred in it but I remember it had something to do with something or someone passing away and their spirit living on through other animals or beings. I think the main actress called them her familiars. Sorry for a vague explanation. I just really want to figure it out so I could watch it because I’m just looking for stuff to remember her by. With blockbuster results and mechanics, and with clear points and possibly conscious intentions. 2 years after Do the Right Thing, Rodney King got beat on camera and then a year after that the riots (not just LA, but mainly LA) happened. Today, we’re in the middle of a presidency that didn’t condemn nazis/white supremacists and he released Blackkklansman... a very powerful film.
Is he, Mr Lee, somewhat and fundamentally synonymous with those mentioned above?

A Lonely Place to Die blew my expectations completely out of the water.
I put this movie on thinking it was going to just be something to listen to and casually glance at on my second monitor while i was playing a video game on my main monitor, but right off the bat I was pulled in and could not look away.
I had to turn the game off and sync the screen to my TV I have by my bed so I could lay down, turn off the lights and watch it with my full attention.
This movie was one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. I cant believe it.
Ive never made a post like this on this sub before. Im just so completely surprised that a movie Ive never heard anyone mention at all could be so damn good.

Is it time to move back home?
Buckle up friends. I moved from Pa to Texas with my girlfriend of 5 years. We lived together for a year with her parents there. We rescued a beautiful pup, I found a career I enjoy and life was good. Our relationship however was not. She went to visit family while I stayed behind to work and while there, she ended our relationship via text. So, I moved out, closer to work and life was okay. I was heartbroken and lost but OK. 2 weeks ago, I get a call from an unknown number. It's her, saying that her mother put our dog down. Now I'm here in Texas and I have lost everything that I had worked towards for that last year. My girlfriend of 6 years, my dog which was my best friend for the year we had her. Thankfully, my landlord and his wife are savior's and have been kinda watching over me to make sure I'm okay. I came home this week to visit my family and I quickly realized something scary. When I return to Texas, I'm not returning to anything significant. No family, no friends, no dog, no significant other, not even a fuck buddy. Just my job and my landlord. I'm now questioning if moving home is a bad move? I have my whole family here, a few friends who I adore and I miss the mountains. But, I don't want to feel like I'm giving up. I've worked so hard but my entire world that I built in Texas was washed away within a month and I'm now totally free, to do anything in the world. In summary: my last month has brought me to mental rock bottom. Is moving home to recover, build some money up and focus on myself a bad thing? Or is that giving up?

Does boiling sink water make it drinkable?
I live in a college dorm, and the only tap water nearby is in the lobby. So it would be really convenient if I could just heat up some of the sink water in the morning and have a nice cup of tea.

Had a song stuck in my head for 2 weeks and all I can remember is the music not singing, the video has the main singer female, African American it's a dancy R&B type song but also features a drum line I think the video is set in Brazil but that's all I got. Best way to list unverifiable experience on a resume?
In my case it has to do with running a pornographic website with a lot of what I'll just say is types of non-vanilla content that isn't illegal but beyond the realm of what you'd probably see if you clicked a random video on pornhub or something. In running/helping manage it I did get a fair amount of Linux sysadmin experience though which would be relevant to jobs I want to apply for. Due to the nature of the content and the fact that it's not an "official" job where I had a boss, a paycheck, etc and not even with an official business that ever existed on paper in any way (just me running my own website making no profit). I'm willing to describe more about the nature of the website if you talk to me in DM but I'll try to keep this post PG-13 and I don't think it's too important to the question anyways.

How did I get perma suspended from all of Reddit?
During the breach or whatever happened at Reddit my account got used to make around 5 comments randomly not by me.
After realizing this I changed my password, earlier today I tried making a post on gamingbuddies but it wouldn't go through, when I got on mobile it said my account was permanently suspended from Reddit.
Maybe I tried to post the gamingbuddies thing too much, it never went through at all it kept saying something went wrong so I tried different ways to fix it. So I doubt it is that.
I dont even know what you have to do to have that happen let alone how I could have done it.
I've had this account for almost 6 years now (5yr 11mo) The account was rysengaming

Is it possible to edit with CRISPR the gene SCN9A, which is responsible for pain, so that I don't ever feel pain again?
I was reading the wired article on this gene and just wondered if it's feasible, or if more research is needed and if it is possible now, the steps that would need to be done to do it. I would love to never feel pain again.

Why are there so many women-hating subreddits?
I might be super ignorant. However, I’m not aware of any anti-men subreddits that are on the same level as r/braincels or r/MGTOW. I’d like to know about the guys who regularly post there. Why do you hate us so much?

Is this rape?
Asking here because I don't know who else to ask.
Girl is drunk at a party with friends. Girl has an alcohol problem and gets blackout drunk, wakes up with a guy on top of her. Starts yelling for him to get off and he won't. Eventually he does, tries to reinitiate sex even though girl says no. Girl freaks out and tries to call friend and guy makes fun of her for it. Girl crawls into corner while guy tries to say things about himself that are sad (like his parents aren't his real parents) so girl won't get angry at him and tell people.
AMA. I'm sure you can guess the girl is me, I'm very uncomfortable and don't want to seek emotional help because I don't think people will consider this rape and that I'll be excused of lying.
Edit: This was 4 years ago. I have no plans to press charges. I mainly want to see if people believe this was rape. My sister is dating this person knowing what happened and I've since cut all ties with her and cut family out that support her relationship. I feel like the bad guy for cutting them out but if this is rape then shouldn't they be supporting me?

Why am I not Facebook tagged?
Kind of a weird question that was in the back of my mind as I was scrolling Facebook today and wanted to see what others thought.
My wife has a friend that she has known for probably over 10 years. She babysits 2 of our daughters on occasion and I have hung around her and her husband a handful of times. I am by no means close to them but we get along when I am around them.
This friend of my wife will post pictures on Facebook of my kids and most recently of my newborn daughter and she will tag my wife and her husband in the pictures but in all the times she has ever posted any pictures of my wife or kids she never tags me in them. Only her husband and my wife and maybe the parent of another child who might also be in the picture.
Personally it doesn't bother me as I see the pictures anyways whether I am tagged or not, I was just curious what other people might take away from this.
Does she maybe think it would be weird to tag me since we aren't close friends? Or does she dislike me for some reason and that's why she doesn't?
Idk just something that was on my mind...let me know what your thoughts are on it!
TLDR; wife's friend doesn't tag me in pictures of my wife and kids on Facebook, only tags my wife and her own husband...why is this?

Google wants my ID
Google accidentally found out I am under 18 and that I gave him a wrong birthday. Google deactivated my account and wanted me to confirm that I'm 18 and over by sending a picture of my ID or giving him my bank account details (Even if I could do that in my country it's out of law to ask for someones personal information if you are not a cop, doctor etc.). All my photos are in Google Photos and all my accounts are connected to this e-mail.I can't send any of the things Google wants. What should I do?

How do I stop getting so angry at video games I thoroughly enjoy?(A bit long)
I'm desperate for answers that work on this. No one knows how to stop this so far!
I'm a calm dude. Extremely calm all the time in all situations save technology not working correctly in which I get a little irate, but never as angry as some games make me. People even usually think I'm too calm.
TL;DR - I get psycho levels of angry when weird, glitchy shit happens in games that gets me killed or otherwise influences negatively the outcome of something I'm trying to do. How do I end that?
Long but necessary explanation:
I enjoy the realities of being a gamer. Playing for 14 hours straight a game that just came out is pretty awesome because I have way too much free time otherwise. I have to really love the game to end up like that though. Here in lies the issue though. Technology just absolutely pisses me off when it isn't working correctly. I go from calmest guy ever to enraged psycho from borderlands trying to destroy an imaginary bike supposedly made of a new type of salad.
I'll put examples of my insane behavior at the very end of this explanation.
Here's the weird thing though. I go from totally calm to slightly annoyed, then from slightly annoyed to psycho in a matter of half seconds. It's unpredictable and ridiculously quick. The rage fills my veins and I feel excruciating emotional pain that only acting like a maniac could get rid of quickly. As a result I tend to inflict many injuries upon myself without even trying. At some point whatever I'm trying to accomplish in-game is no longer worth the extensive possible physical injury of my surroundings and I.
The slowest I've ever been to enrage is about thirty seconds. It was because I was attempting the use of coping skills during that time but in the end I still ended up smashing my head into the ground like a damn ostrich to end my painful rage. In other words, coping skills help and harm at the same time. Having to do them makes me angrier, but doing them will calm more than it angers. So as a result it takes far too long for me to calm down using coping skills before the feeling feels like it's become too overwhelming.
Examples of some things that can bring up that level of angry:
The brokenness of the Nergigante fight in Monster Hunter World. He glitched across the ground in a sliding motion, with zero animation and hit me from across the map with a close range swatting attack, carting me who had seconds before been hit with a head slam while I was standing literally behind him. A number of his hitboxes are too large and as much as barely tapping a part of him that shouldn't matter while he's attacking can knock off 75% of your already maxed out health bar through your obscene 250+ armor. Resulted in 5 self injuries and three broken items irl that I managed to fix with some work. Note, I have killed Nergigante before and with relative ease, but if he's gonna glitch like that I can't play the game anymore, so I actually had to uninstall it.
Losing in Absolver due to my twitchy hands, usually results in nearly fracturing my hands punishing myself for twitching. Had to uninstall Absolver until that problem is fixed and it may never be.
Losing last second to a stupid strong combination of perks in Shadow Of War. The 'almost win' situation but I twitched or something and faced the wrong way or whatever the case may be.
So basically, if I lose in a seemingly objectively unfair way there will be psycho levels of rage in the immediate seconds after. Includes physical unfairness such as due to my neuromuscular problems that I didn't have until I was 16.
I don't know why I get so angry about it. The anger itself is so strong and spontaneous that it physically hurts excruciatingly. It's like sudden immolation as my entire body catches aflame and my mind fills with homicidal thoughts that remain out of control until I do something about it. It is damn near torture to feel that angry. Maybe I'm just not used to anger from everyday life.
I didn't always get like this though. It used to just be maybe a bang on the desk or maybe a raised voice rant. I think this in particular started when 1, I was around 18 years old(I'm 21 now) and 2, around the time I started Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I'm extremely self-analytical so I know when it started, I just can't figure out how to stop it in a practical way.
Games I thoroughly enjoy playing but aren't worth the damage:
Shadow of War
Monster Hunter World
Absolver
Vindictus
Games my friends want to play with me but aren't worth the damage:
Any competitive-only game(ex. MOBAs, FPS games, RTS games, etc. etc.)
Things I've done when enraged at a game:
Throw my extremely expensive gaming chair across the room or use it as a shot put object out of anger.
Smash my slightly expensive keyboard a bunch of times with my fists (still haven't broken a keyboard yet though).
Toss my mouse on my desk or at my monitor.
Smash my desk with my fists until I bruise my wrist/fingers on each hand.
Slam my head on the desk or anything nearby an inordinate amount of times, full force. Yes, it hurts for days afterward. My record is somewhere around 14 or 15 times on a refrigerator, denting it. I'm not typically clear of mind enough to count so that's an approximation from memory.
Throw myself into objects/on the ground, usually screaming.
Tear my hair out(yes, entire handfuls of hair) while screaming obscenities in the fetal position on the ground, spinning in place.(Though this only happened once and very recently)
All of this is usually done around the same time depending on the level of BS I'm looking at.

Which companies make high quality eye glasses?
I'm asking this due to I don't trust the cheap and or value companies that make eye glasses. My insurance covers for "Vision Works", and honestly they're pretty low quality. I've checked out other places and it seems plastic lenses are the norm when it comes to glasses. Also Vision Works had to re-do my prescription several times on the glasses where they at one point told me it was just me. I've worn glasses for years and had them in the military. But Vision Works couldn't get one pair right. Even though the Air Force got my lenses right the first time.
I at this point rather spend some bucks on a quality pair of glasses that don't look cheap, and actually have quality lenses and preferred glass and not plastic.

Question for anyone in human resources?
I am currently attending a community college, but I am planning to graduate with my associates this May. I want to go to a four year university to and get my bachelor's in environmental science. I was looking at affordable programs, and I saw that University of Phoenix has a good program. Will employers pass over my application because of certain schools?
I am trying to make a good life for myself, but I don't want too much student debt and it is a crippling fear of mine.
Would you pass over my application if I had an online degree?

I do not know how to stop biting my nails, and the skin around. I know it's a bad habit. My fingers are awful because of that. Sometimes I do not even realize that I'm gnawing at them. It's automatic. I think I like the feeling that it gives me, I do not know.

How in the world am I supposed to not talk?
I'm 3 months out of a surgery that paralyzed my left vocal chord, and a month away from a procedure to help.... But I'm supposed to not talk, as that could hurt the right vocal chord due to overcompensation. My question is.... How do I not talk? Anyone familiar with this? What can I do to communicate instead?
