The relative strength of someone’s flatulence can be measured like radioactivity - you can use half lives of perception (ability to smell said flatulence) to show which are strongest and thus more likely to dissipate most quickly, kinda like radioactive isotopes.

whats the frame rate of My Bloody Valentine?
IMDB only says it was shot on 35mm and in 3D, also that it was mastered in 4K, but nothing on frame rate.
I ask cuz I'm watching the 2D version on Netflix and it looks strange. Aside from the hot naked blonde, that part looks great.
A young brunette goes into the doctor's office and says that her body hurts wherever she touches it.
"Impossible," says the doctor. "Show me."
She takes her finger and pushes her elbow and screams in agony. She pushes her knee and screams, pushes her ankle and screams and so it goes on, everywhere she touches makes her scream.
The doctor says, "You're not really a brunette, are you?"
She says, "No, I'm really a blonde."
"I thought so," he says. "Your finger is broken."
A Blonde was down on her luck. In order to raise some money, she decided to kidnap a kid and hold him for ransom.
She went to the playground, grabbed a kid, took him behind a tree, and told him, "I`ve kidnapped you."
She then wrote a note saying, "I`ve kidnapped your kid. Tomorrow morning, put $10,000 in a paper bag and put it under the pecan tree next to the slide on the north side of the playground. Signed, Blonde."
The Blonde then taped the note to the kid`s shirt and sent him home to show it to his parents.
The next morning the blonde checked, and sure enough, a paper bag was sitting beneath the pecan tree.
The blonde opened the bag and found the $10,000 with a note that said, "How could you do this to a fellow Blonde?"
A blonde went to the appliance store sale and found a bargain. "I would like to buy this TV," she told the salesman.
"Sorry, we don't sell to blondes," he replied.
The blonde was very angry about this. She hurried home and dyed her hair, then came back and again told the salesman, "I would like to buy this TV."
"Sorry, we don't sell to blondes," he replied.
The blonde did not know how the salesman had recognized her. This time, she got a haircut and new color, a new outfit and big sunglasses. She then waited a few days before she approached the salesman.
"I would like to buy this TV."
"Sorry, we don't sell to blondes," he replied.
Frustrated, she exclaimed, "How do you know I'm a blonde?"
"Because that's a microwave," he replied.

Website that lists which movies' trailers reveal entire movie?
I saw Brightburn recently, and even though its an enjoyable enough movie to sit through, the trailers showed clips from almost every major beat in the film. I sat, waiting for the events to escalate past what was shown in the trailer, wondering what juicy things the filmmakers were keeping a surprise for the paying theater-goers. But that never happened. I felt a bit cheated.
I'm wondering if there are any sites that list which movies have had their entire plot or major beats revealed in the trailer, and is updated fairly regularly?
I try avoiding trailers, but ill eventually have to sit through some. And when i see a movie that looks interesting only to see nothing that i havent already seen in the trailer, i feel like ive wasted my time and money.
Thanks!

Character Development -- ENDGAME SPOILERS!
AVENGERS ENDGAME SPOILERS BELOW!
--
Which character's development do you enjoy most? My favorite thus far has been Dr. Strange. He starts out as an arrogant neurosurgeon who thinks he's so invincible, he can drive fast on a windy road while raining and still look at x-rays. All of that was shot to hell when he wrecks his car off of a cliff and loses his ability to perform surgery. I love the tragirony from when he tells Christine "I could have done better."
He's blown through all of his money trying to fix his hands, until he gets wind of Kamar Taj. Super desperate at this point, he works alongside the Ancient One and Mordo to learn mystic arts. Shit hits the fan with Kaecilius, the Ancient One dies, and it's Dr. Strange vs. Dormammu. I think the turning point for me was when Dormammu said Strange would never win. He responded by saying "No, but I can lose again and again and again and again forever and that makes you my prisoner." As someone who was accustomed to winning and coming in 1st for so long, he was willing to lose for eternity if that meant Earth was safe. Similarly to Tony Stark, whose "self-interest rarely outweighs the greater good." It's funny to see those two butt heads in Infinity War and see how much they sacrificed for humanity, obviously Tony more since he's dead.

Movies that had a ton of hype but then fell off the face of the earth or were relatively forgotten after release?
I was just thinking about a lot of movies that seemed to generate lots of hype, big expectations, or that seemed to-good-to-fail, but then were eventually swept under the rug/phased out of discussion after release because they were either underwhelming or just “okay”. I have a few I can think of, there were even times where I waited months to years for a movie to be released but never actually saw it in the end because it had such mediocre or bland reception, I couldn’t bring myself to go make myself letdown if that makes any sense or sometimes I just lost the ability to care.

Jurassic Park 3 is a legitimately great movie, second ONLY to the original movie. Change my mind.
I know Jurassic Park 3 gets a lot of hate, and for the majority of my life I had agreed with most of it. But after rewatching the entire series recently, JP3 really stood out to me.
Let's face it, none of the sequels have even come close to the quality of the original. The value of JW and JW:FK can be debated (personally I think they are OK). The Lost World, even though it was my favorite when I was a kid, is BY FAR the worst of them all. That movie is completely indefensible.
Jurassic Park 3 stands alone among all the sequels as the only one that doesn't collapse under the weight of its ambition. All 3 of the others try so hard to be these big, epic stories about morality and science and blah blah blah. They fall short every time. To be 100% honest, even the original isn't really as profound as it thinks it is.
3 is perfectly content with what it is, and what the true appeal of the franchise has always been: a fun adventure story with cool and scary dinosaurs, with a sprinkling of real science to add a little pathos to the story. The original brought up the big questions about science going too far, and the futility of trying to control nature, etc. I would argue that none of the sequels have added anything of value to those ethical questions, or provided any intriguing answers. TLW, JW, and FK all attempt it, but they all fall short. The difference? JP3 didn't even try. The creators of the movie smartly focused their ambitions on the aspects of the story that they knew they could do well, and the movie feels a lot more fully realized and complete than any of the other sequels as a result.
It's not trying to be the original. It's not trying to be better than the original. It's just trying to be a good movie on its own, and it is!
Let me break down the several different areas where i feel the movie succeeds and makes it rise above the other sequels.
THE STORY
The plot is the number one thing i see people go to when criticizing the movie, and while it is the most simple and straight-forward storyline of the entire franchise, again i believe this to be its strength. It is economical; every scene either moves the story forward, or develops the characters, or both (and yes, i am including the infamous "Alan" scene in that statement). The stakes are established early on, the characters are introduced quickly and cleanly, and even with a spattering of comedic moments, there is enough tension to keep you watching to see what happens next. And don't forget, it is FUN! it's an adventure, a struggle to survive in a wild jungle filled with wild beasts! All held together by the glue of the dynamic relationships between the characters. Which brings me to the next section...
THE CHARACTERS
Compare the cast of characters in any of the other sequels to this one and it becomes very clear which ones are the most likable and engaging.
In TLW literally every character is constantly making horrible, bone-headed decisions that either get themselves killed or gets other people killed. Who wants to see Ian Malcolm stripped of everything that made him an interesting person in the original? Or vince vaughn's character, who is such a bleeding heart environmentalist that he brings a god damn t-rex baby into their camp to fix its broken leg. Ugh. Or julianne moore's character, arguably the least likable character in the entire franchise. She's selfish, obnoxious, and a pretentious know-it-all who clearly doesn't give a shit about Ian or his kid.
Jurassic world? Every character is a cardboard cutout. Same with FK.
Now let's look at the characters in JP3. You have an older, more bitter and weary Dr. Grant, who legitimately carries the movie as a unique type of leading man for an adventure movie like this. His greatest strength is his knowledge. His advice saves the lives of all the other characters over and over again. He's sarcastic and funny, and he still feels like the Alan grant we know from the original, only a little older and wiser.
The Kirby's. My God, they are brilliant. The perfect foils to the intelligence and resourcefulness of grant and his protege (whatever his name was, i forget. I will concede that he's kind of a bland and shallow character. More of a plot device than a character). It's so entertaining to see these average middle class people who get themselves in way over their heads, playing off of grant perfectly. And they have a nice arc where their broken family comes back together by the end. It's nice, and that familial love is the glue that not only set the story in motion, it holds the entire story together to the very end. It gives the movie some heart that none of the other sequels have (FK comes close with the father-daughter stuff, but that was pretty flimsy). You might not agree that that particular aspect of the story was so great, but all you have to do is look to the original to see that family and learning to love each other has always been a theme. The Kirby's are a nice, fun evolution of that theme that explores it in a new way, through the lens of divorced parents who remember why they loved each other in the first place. And in doing so, they (literally and arguably metaphorically) saved their son, who was lost and alone in the world (pretty accurate for a child of divorce, like i am). Maybe I'm stretching a bit here, and yeah I'm being a little cheeky, but i do think there is something to the idea of the island being a metaphor for an adolescent's post-divorce world. It's no coincidence that the mother's new boyfriend is the one who literally flew him into that world ;)
THE SPECIAL EFFECTS
While I did say that the plot and scope of this movie was appropriately un-ambitious, there is no doubt that the special effects were VERY ambitious. Some of the most ambitious special effects that had been done by anyone at that point. This movie came out 8 years after the original, and it does so so so much more than what was possible in 1993. Giant dinosaur fights (yes, probably the cheesiest part of the movie, but bear with me), tons of scenes of dinosaurs in broad daylight and up close, a much higher level of detail on the CGI. And the practical effects are more ambitious as well.
I'll never argue that any special effects can surpass the genius-level use of CGI and practical effects in the original. but on a technical level, we had come a lot farther by 2001. And i would definitely argue that the technology was used more effectively in this than in TLW, which again was too ambitious for its own good.
ALRIGHT ALREADY, I'LL WRAP IT UP
i strongly encourage everyone to go back and check out Jurassic Park 3 again with these things in mind. I think there is a lot more substance there than most people give the movie credit for. The acting is good, the dialogue is quippy and fun, the story is brisk and grounded with a good balance of scientific thinking and familial love. The action scenes are tense and exciting, and it's just a wild ride, way more successful in almost every single way than any of the other sequels are.
Oh, and don't forget this movie's greatest claim to fame: The first real scenes with Pteranadons! That whole set piece was worth the ticket price on its own!

Actors and Filmmakers whose careers are dead and you're not sure why
What exactly caused John Travolta to do strictly Direct to VOD movies? It couldn't have been Battlefield Earth, he was headlining major, wide-release movies for 10 years after that so what killed his career? I know he did some weird things in his personal life earlier this decade, was that it? He did also make a lot of poor movie choices but they didn't seem to be enough to kill his career. I know From Paris with Love basically flopped, is that the movie that killed his career? What happened to it? Or is it Savages, even though he only had a supporting role in it? What the hell happened to Travolta?
Also what happened to David O. Russell's career? After Joy came out and underperformed, he basically disappeared from making movies. I find it hard to believe one failed Oscar Bait film was enough to kill his career so what happened to him? I'm not exactly complaining because he's apparently an abusive asshole, I'm just surprised he hasn't made a movie in 4 years, that's all...

Anyone else love “her”?
I think it’s so well written. The characters feel real, and I feel the director gets across so much information in such a short amount of time.
The themes were very well developed. Examples: What makes someone “real”? Giving into emotion rather than logic. Moving past your past, and living for today and tomorrow. Accepting others for what they are. Learning to accept your own flaws. What makes a relationship healthy.
The whole movie felt like a book. Each act has its purpose and propagates one or more themes. The writing is phenomenal, and the directing is as well. I loved it from start to finish

Seven Samurai: A breath of fresh air.
I recently watched Seven Samurai after putting it off for a while, and what I saw I enjoyed a lot. This is my second Akira Kurosawa film and he is already one of my favourite directors. Toshiro Mifune really knocks it out the park with his performace, I was delightfully surprised that his character was more than a buffoon, adding complexity and even questioning the morality of our protagonists. Kurosawa to me, seems to yet again inject a good sense of humour into this film using the characters for comedy rather than random quips. The cinematography and blocking in this film is beautiful, putting a lot of today's films to shame.
Honestly i'm a bit tired of some films, especially hollywood films where the heroes always come out on top, sqeaky clean and morally righteous. Here we have a film that questions the morality of it's protagonists. Even the final fight takes place on a muddy battlefield as people struggle from slipping over in the mud, with some of the heroes unceremoniously killed. The ending leaves you with a bitter taste in your mouth as you wonder what the hell it was all for. In a typical film it would have been all cheery cheery, pats on the back, but I like that the film leaves you in a sombre mood, and for me it's a breath of fresh air in today's paint by numbers films that seem to litter the landscape. If you haven't seen Seven Samurai then I highly recommend you do so if you love films, and if you have then what are your thoughts on Seven Samurai?

No this isn't about Avatar vs Endgame. I was wondering if anyone knows what year had the biggest discrepancy between the number 1 and number 2 for the year at the box office? I was going through and saw that Shrek 2 made almost 300 million more (domestic) than it's next closest competitor.
Thought maybe TFA but it made a similar 300 million more than it's next competition in 2015. We could go into worldwide and adjusted for inflation but I just haven't done so yet.

Question about the film The Prestige
In Nolan’s film, Angier creates a clone of himself every time he does the final trick, which drops into the water and dies, with the surviving Angier emerging from the balcony for the prestige of the trick. Does Angier somehow maintain his stream of consciousness with the surviving clone, or did the original Angier die in the first performance, leaving a clone/replica Angier with a different consciousness alive to be shot by Borden at the end of the movie?

Where the hell is our "Bone" movie?
Okay, so a couple of years ago, it was announced that Jeff Smith's Bone graphic novels were being adapted into an animated trilogy by Australian animation company Animal Logic, directed by Mark Osborne (Kung Fu Panda, The Little Prince). After that announcement, however, there has been absolutely zero news about the trilogy's development status. Not a single update, let alone any real news such as casting and all that jazz.
If you're not familiar, the Bone comics are about these little white dwarf creatures who get mixed up in an epic tale of dragons, dreams, locust demons, and a bunch of other weird stuff. The comics were published over the span of 13 years, and, later, were released as 9 graphic novels. If you haven't read them, do yourself a favor and do so as soon as possible. Those books are amazing. Jeff Smith strikes a perfect balance between fun cartoon humor and epic, high-fantasy world building. They're wacky, cool, imaginative, and the ending packs one hell of an emotional punch.
With source material this amazing, it's hard to imagine exactly why the film adaptations are taking this long to see the light of day. It's not like the comics are that hard to adapt; each set of three graphic novels fits a traditional three-act structure surprisingly well. Also, studios have also been clamoring for a Bone movie for decades. Before Animal Logic, Nickelodeon was in talks to make a Bone series (before Jeff Smith shut the whole thing down). Does anyone know what might be causing this massive delay/has anyone heard of any movement on the project?
Boy oh boy, would I love to see this story on the big screen.

Kit Harrington for John Wick Chapter 4
I've been rewatching a lot of scenes of Kit Harrington as Jon Snow the last few days. It's just my opinion, but I feel like he would a great fit in the John Wick universe. Maybe as an opposing assassin coming for John or as a partner for John. I feel like his stoicism would work really well with the way Reeves plays Wick. Plus I think it would be great to see Harrington wielding some firearms around in a suit than in a suit of armor with a sword. What are your thoughts?

What is your favorite use of music for the ending of a film?
Oh, a very hard one. I quite love the use of music for Oldboy. The performance from the main actor already was enough to make the ending very emotional but the music just gives it another layer of feels to it. Also, the one for Irreversible. But I'll have to go for Memento. The music is absolutely perfect and tells the whole tragedy to the purposeless journey of the protagonist. It's music that it's amazing on its own and also expresses that deep sadness and false sense of hope and glory. The music also fits really well along with the dialogue. Here's the link to it (Don't watch it if you haven't seen the film at all. It's fantastic.): https://youtu.be/0Op_tlDc4BM

I just discovered Swiss Army Man (2016), and I think I may have a new favorite “weird” movie.
So I was doing the classic “scrolling through Netflix having no idea what to watch” thing and after an absurd amount of time I finally settled on this movie, mostly inspired by some weird Gifs I’d seen several years ago.
....holy shit this movie. I don’t really have all the words for it. It’s somehow a character study that also says greater things about our society, and love, and Harry Potter’s erection. Paul Dano is terrific, and Daniel Radcliffe is...well, he’s the Swiss Army Man. If you haven’t seen this film, close your browser and watch it right now. If you have, talk about it here with me.

20 movies that made an impact on me.
Recently, I came across Ron Howard's tweet about a challenge to post stills of the 20 movies that made an impact on the intended reader for 20 days. I took this challenge just for fun, and today I just finished it. I'd like to share my own list, by order of the 20 days.
- Mission: Impossible - Fallout
It is arguably the best action film of last year, from death-defying action sequences by Tom Cruise to the visual feast that it is.
- 2001: A Space Odyssey
The movie that turned me on into Kubrick's genius. It made the science fiction genre respected across cinematic circles.
- Platoon
It is such a visceral, realistic look into the horrors of the Vietnam War, directed by war veteran Oliver Stone. Elias's death scene, scored to Adagio for Strings, still gets me every time.
- A Clockwork Orange
This is one of my favorite Kubrick films primarily because it is an arresting satire on social conditioning, and also because it is visually stunning.
- The Hunt for Red October
As a fan of the Tom Clancy novel (and the series), I find it mostly true to the book. And it is such a groundbreaking submarine thriller.
- Die Hard
This action film introduced a trope. It had an everyman for the hero and a memorable villain. And lots of impressive action. And it's a Christmas film.
- JFK
A powerful conspiracy thriller that really makes you think about the circumstances behind JFK's death. The editing is so top notch.
- Baby Driver
This was my first Edgar Wright movie, and I simply love it because of how it effectively integrates music into the story.
- Raiders of the Lost Ark
Harrison Ford was one of my favorite actors growing up. He shines in this stylish Spielberg film that's basically about an American, pre-Cold War James Bond.
- Apocalypse Now
This is quite a powerful Vietnam War movie that showcases the horrors of that conflict, and has brilliant visual flourishes, from the napalm scene in the beginning to the various battle scenes throughout.
- Blade Runner
A thought-provoking science fiction film that offers a gritty, philosophical take on humanity.
- Taken
It was one of the first action films that I was exposed to as a kid, and Liam Neeson kills it in this action thriller.
- Air Force One
Harrison Ford as the President of the United States. What more do you want?
- The Departed
This Scorsese crime masterpiece made me appreciate his craft.
- The Shining
A unique, meticulously detailed horror film from Kubrick.
- Snowpiercer
One of the best sci-fi movies I've recently seen, with intense scenes, a stellar cast, and philosophical overtones.
17: Barry Lyndon
Arguably the most beautiful Kubrick film ever made.
- Schindler's List
This is such a stunning epic that makes you choke up in tears at its beauty and its madness.
- The Bourne Identity
A thinking man's spy thriller.
- John Wick
An action movie that revolutionized the action genre. For one thing, it replaced the shaky cam technique for standard action films in favor of just one take of pure mayhem. Oh, and it's such a stylish film with a wildly original plot.
I'm sure this list of mine will change as I navigate through the world of cinema. So, what are the 20 movies that made an impact on you? On a side note, you can join in on Howard's challenge on Twitter.

I recently watched “Leap Year” (bottom) and “Chasing Liberty” (top), both starring Matthew Goode. Apparently, Goode likes to play roles where he goes on road trips and has to chase after disgruntled girls named Anna... Funny that the two movies have very similar plotlines.

My thoughts on - Godzilla King Of The Monsters
So I got to see this a few days early due to the movie release schedule in Korea, and I wanted to get some of my thoughts out on it.
First off, I know a lot of people are saying they don't care about the humans in this movie, we just want to see the monsters beat each other up! But let me make it clear that the human element in this movie is not just dull or weak, but that it is SO BAD, it will likely hamper your enjoyment of those monster mashes. Godzilla 2014 was passable, but this is truly a disaster on all counts human. That speech that sounded so cool in the trailer? In the context of the movie, it's laughable. The main character Mark? Well, as a character he's absolutely stupid, and some of the faces the actor plays are so ridiculous they look like Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber Too. I'm sure he's a fine actor, but not here. What I'm trying to say is don't expect even the bare minimum for the humans in this story. It's terrible and will put a damper on your movie going experience with how atrocious it is.
Now, can we talk about the colors of this movie? I know Hollywood is big on the blue and orange kick, but this is just ridiculous. 85% of the movie looks like someone took the lightroom temperature slider and dragged it ALL the way to the left. In an airplane? Blue. In a forest in China? Blue. In Boston? You guessed it, blue. And when it's not blue, it's the exact opposite. The movie is more orange than Donald Trump with a spray tan. There's probably a total of 5 minutes of normal colors in this movie. It looks cool and all in the trailers, but watching it for two hours it gets a little bit ridiculous. If we mention color and weather, then we have to mention why every single monster fight is staged in the dark, in the rain or snow, and shot mostly close up. It obscures a lot of the action that we all came for, and comes across rather disappointing. However when the wide shots come...oh god they are glorious!
Sometimes the action feels a bit like a Transformers movie here. We know generally what's happening, but due to shaky cams and close ups we can't really tell. That's present here, and there's a lot of it. Generally however I enjoyed the action and this wasn't a huge detriment.
The sound effects and score are great, no complaints.
I am not really a huge Godzilla fan, but I'm not a hater either. I was excited to go see this and went on opening day, but I left feeling extremely disappointed. Say what you want, but watching the monsters fight each other in the dark close up wasn't QUITE as awe inspiring as I hoped, and the human plot in this movie was so bad that I felt myself laughing or mentally facepalming several times throughout the movie. If you hope to see the monsters fight, then most of this movie will be okay for you. The rest of the movie...well, it's terrible.

If you ever find yourself in a fight with a big guy, don’t let him grab you.
Just had a friendly spar against my friend, who has 2 inches over me and about 100 pounds more or less (chunky bouncer type of build).
I wanted to be cheeky and decided to grapple with him, and boy, was that a bad idea. It was a play fight so it was light force, but when he barely pushed me away I felt that shit. Like I got borderline off balanced just from that little push. Just the shear mass of his fat was pushed into me. It almost felt like a “soul-leaving-body experience.” Imagine if it was a real fight, and he really pushed me. I woulda got fucking BODIED. I even got 5 years training at an MMA gym, so I knew what I was doing but man that push caught me off guard and made me think how dangerous a big man can be if you got too close. Anyway we broke up the fight and chilled after that.
Moral of the story, if you’re fighting a big dude, please stay on the outside and make sure he doesn’t grab you.

Why are there no movies about any of the women from or about the massive workforce of women during WWII?
There was a massive influx of women volunteering to join the workforce during WWII. Yet, there are no movies at all that really acknowledge any of them. Pearl Harbor kinda had some scenes of the women in the military at the time, sort of. There were a lot of really important roles that women served during WWII that could be used as a basis for a movie. The WASPs (Womens Airforce Service Pilots), Nurses, Seamstress, Munitions Workers just to name a few, were all very important roles for the military and women during WW2. I mean, pfff.... anyone remember the "Rosie the Riveter" Campaign???
Even if the movies isnt based on real people but the general ensemble of women working at the time - it would be interesting in my opinion. I just dont know why no one has made any movies at all about women during WWII.

Which movie gave you the best experience when you saw it in cinema? Why?
For me, it was The Dark Knight, hands down.
The best fucking movie I have ever seen in cinema. I was 13 or 14 when I saw it in 2008 and that ending was in-fucking-credible, the music, Gordon's speech and the sudden THUNDER of the percussion caught me off guard signaling that shit was about to go down for Batman. Joker's chaos, the cinematography, the acting, and the music was, and still is, the best experience that any movie has given me in a cinema to this day. To me, this is the one DC movie that Marvel will never be able to replicate due to the script and how serious it takes itself with the realism behind it. This movie redefined the superhero movie genre forever.

[Spoiler] How long until the MCU declines?
It has had an amazing run, 10+ years of consistency (mostly) and it became a huge pop culture phenomenon. There was no BvS/JL esque disaster and not even a TLJ esque backlash (its more divisive than any MCU movie).
I think from all the big franchises the MCU is clearly the most popular one right now but it's impossible to keep up the quality. How long until it declines and things get messy? Kevin Feige doesn't seem to be leaving any time soon and they still have lots of characters (especially now since the X-Men are back) to choose from

Disney Signature Collection vs Disney+
Soo Disney+ is an upcoming streaming service that’s gonna include all the Disney titles ever including ones in the “vault”. However when I was reading up on it I noticed there was no mention of their Signature Collection line (which is still pretty recent) and if they’re gonna end it since their streaming service is coming out. I’ve been tryna collect Aladdin on blu-ray but I’m not sure whether to wait to see if it comes out or just take my chances and order an import from the UK lmao.. What are your guys’ thoughts on this? Would you ditch your blu-rays/DVDs for digital streaming? What do you think of the whole “vault” marketing strategy?

What is 1 animated film with beautiful animation it does not deserve?
Your Name, for me. Absolutely beautiful animation that has gone to waste with a unspecial story with some plotholes, uninteresting characters, a romance with not much chemistry between the 2 characters and with so little explored. This is the kind of animation that would've really worked for a story that could've been a lot more engaging and coherent but this was really by far the best thing about it and one of the very few good aspects of the film.

Looking for a movie that takes place just when Kurt Cobain died!
Hey guys. I have a weak memory of a movie that takes place at the same time as kurt cobain died. It's a roadtrip movie, where a group rides to Seattle to be there with all the other fans. The other memories I have are kind of in a blur, i seem to remember the lead character getting both his feet broken by mobsters towards the climax of the movie, but other than that I don't have much to go on.

Endgame or Infinity War?
So a couple of weeks have passed since I’ve seen Endgame and I have convinced myself that I loved Infinity War more. Am I the only one in this boat? I would love to hear other people’s takes on this. I would say the deciding factor for me was the way IW seamlessly weaves all the characters screen time into equal amounts. I felt like I got screenshot views of what made each character unique in the MCU. Maybe I just liked the journey more instead of the destination upon which I arrived.

I've always been a fan of mary elizabeth winstead since sky high. I thought it was just a movie about saving someone from a cult but it was so much more. This could be her best role. Will Smith's genie
Just watched the Aladdin movie, and wow was I blown away by Will smith as the genie, he did amazing, the movie as a whole was terrific. I had such low expectations going in because of how everyone was negatively portraying the movie, but it was terrific, it brought back all the terrific memories of watching Aladdin when I was younger, I had owned the VHS and would watch it constantly.
Tl:DR don't listen to all the "critics" Aladdin was amazing and Will Smith brought his own genie that also paid homage to Robin Williams.

Help me title my student film.
I need help guys.
I am making a short student film and am struggling to come up with a title. The film follows three boys as they come up with a plan to steal a copy of their end of year exams. They go through a planning process before actually enacting the caper, however all sorts of things go wrong. In the end they walk away with the exams and subsequently get way with it all. The idea of the film is to be an over the top, campy look at the lengths students will go to inorder to get good grades.
I can't come up with a good title to save my life. Currently it is titled 'The Plan' which I hate. Please help me. Any suggetions are helpful.
Thanks guys!

"From Then Till Now", a challenge idea I'd like to share!
Hi all! For those of you who are active on letterboxd, IMDB, or any other site to log and rate movies, I've come up with a challenge idea that I'd like to share with everyone to see if anybody is interested in participating in. If this has already been done before, feel free to let me know and surely all the credit belongs to the original creator.
In summary, starting from the 1910's to the 2010's, one movie will be chosen by the community through a poll each week to represent its respected era/decade. Movies will not be chosen by critical acclaim or popularity, but rather by their ability to represent what their time periods were like. I don't want to see the most popular movie of the 30's, 60's, 90's, etc. I want to see, feel, and experience what life was like in that time. I want to listen to the music, see the fashion, come face to face with the struggles endured in that time period through film. I want to be present in each era.
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, awesome! If this takes off I plan on doing the same challenge but for other countries so those like myself can get more exposed to foreign film, and foreign culture/history as a whole. Below is the link to the list I've created that has some of the fine details, but like I mentioned there this is just a rough draft and I'm 100% open to suggestions. Feel free to let me know what you think!

Death of Stalin in Black Comedy Masterpiece
I have been meaning to watch the movie for a while, finally watched it while commuting on a long flight. The movie is a complete Black Comedy masterpiece. Although I knew a little bit about almost all the characters portrayed, Simon Russell Beale's portrayal of Beria maybe one of the greatest portrayal of one of the most disgusting human beings to have ever existed. Buscemi was excellent as Kruschev.
Another great thing about the movie is the actors using their own accents instead of using some terrible Russian accent. This movie maybe the best political satire+Black comedy movie I have seen. Kudos to Ianucci for bringing us some of the greatest political TV and movie for the last decade or so. Cannot wait for his new HBO show.

Why did the Warcraft movie fail so badly?
The IP was recognizable enough, certainly popular in the gaming circles. The trailers were decent. Nothing looked wrong with it before it came out, unlike other video game movies like the recent Sonic.
Was it timing? Did it come at a point where people had zero faith in video game adaptations? Did it seem too fantasy/gamey like for the non-gamer crowd? People by this point were already invested in Game of Thrones, and its mature, more realistic take on fantasy could have made Warcraft look silly. Was the budget too big?
I don't know. I've read theories but what do you think was the largest factor that caused people to be uninterested?
Side note: I saw it, thought it was OK. A bit cheesy and the plot was scattered but it was still entertaining.

Looking for a movie title
I have been searching for an older movie, maybe early 80's right around the time of the Indiana Jones series. All I can remember is a guy and a girl searching for an old temple. When they find it a battle happens and the top of the temple breaks apart and a bright light shines. They were looking for a treasure or a "power" I don't think it's romancing the stone. I have skimmed through it. It might be though. Can anyone help? I know it's a vague description. Thanks in advance!

This is the movie I waited for and been excited to watch but I had a hard time understanding it. I know Jordan Peele is the best but It didn't live to my expectations.
Okay, I will state the things I only understand about this movie.
Clones are the government special experiment where it was a failed experiment but the government failed to realized that they make one that can think and act like a real and normal human. So the 'fake' one had her dreams come true by going up the tunnel by trying to be 'originial' all her life. The question is
- Why does the original act weird throughout the movie if she's a real woman?
- Why does the original waited that long and used all the clones for her justice?
- If you have a full understanding about the movie please explain.
Thank you.

I think the criticism leveled at Aladdin and especially Will Smith are being overly harsh.
I actually enjoyed for what it is. I mean it's not like the animated movie was the most fantastic thing to ever hit cinemas. There have been far better animated movies over the years from various companies. I mean really, it's a about an arrogant homeless man who just happens to find a suga momma in the end and strikes it rich. What exactly is so deep about that? To top of it off, you can't honestly say Aladdin is a hero can you? I mean he agreed to free his magical slave only if he helped him get lucky.
But I think the hate leveled towards Will's performance is just being too harsh. We get it, No one will ever be Robin Williams and one was ever trying to be. There is no rule in the universe that says only one actor is allowed to play the part. Let's just be honest, it wouldn't matter who was picked to play genie. It could be anybody and still be picked apart simply because they cannot be Robin Williams. I feel people think that anybody playing the role of genie thinks it's a personal insult.
The film wasn't that terrible and I've seen worse.

Scary Movie 2 mostly parodies Stephen King's Rose Red?
So I'm watching scary movie 2 again, and it's obviously a parody of various horror movies, I know that, but most of it is from Rose Red, no? I mean the house (Ellen Rimbauer's house), the students there are reeled in by the professor (Like Joyce Reardon did), the servant's hand (April Rimbauer), the wife catching the husband sleeping with the baby sitter (John sleeping with Sukeena), it's all a plot from Rose Red, right? Like yes it's about various other movies but it's mainly from Rose Red, does anyone else see it?

Looking for an old movie of a person being bitten in half by an underwater monster/shark
There's a movie I'm looking for that I don't know the name and can't find it. I saw a scene in my childhood and I'm just curious about the rest of the plot.
Scene: someone in a sort of scuba diving suit that is being hung and as they try to lower him in water, some monster/shark/something took a big bite out of him and as they try to pull him out, there's only half of him left.
I don't think it was Jaws. I did see the first one when I was young and this was different.
